Mit dem Wirtschaftswunder wurden die Menschen mobiler und wohlhabender, die Abhängigkeit von der Landwirtschaft sank. Die dörflichen Strukturen, das Freizeitverhalten, das Vereins- und Kirchenleben änderten sich fortan. Mit der Gesellschaft ändert sich auch die Festkultur. Die Fotos offenbaren viel Verschwundenes aber auch bis heute Erhaltenes im Zusammenleben der Menschen des Asbacher Landes. Die Verbandsgemeinde Asbach liegt im nördlichen Rheinland-Pfalz im Kreis Neuwied. Sie besteht aus den vier Ortsgemeinden Asbach, Buchholz, Neustadt (Wied) und Windhagen und zählt heute rund 24.000 Einwohner, verteilt auf 128 Ortschaften.
